Review Of Smile Science Teeth Whitening Kit

The face is the most popular feature for anyone. It is the face that most people are familiar with. Of all the features of our face, it is smiling that’s captivating.

Not only is a nice smile appealing, but it also sends an impression of warmth and welcoming. Smiling is scientifically proven to bring you and those who is around you content.

Smiles are contagious Simple and plain.

For some people, smiling may be embarrassing. Some people choose teeth-free smiles because they believe the teeth they are wearing are stained or not clean enough.

It’s quite a shame then to abandon such a wonderful gesture all because your teeth don’t look white.

Of course, visiting dental professionals is definitely the most effective method for teeth whitening. But, it can be an expensive alternative. For this reason, some prefer to use teeth whitening strips.

This option comes with certain disadvantages. For instance, people who suffer from sensitive teeth may feel uncomfortable. One person on the internet claimed that using these strip-on whitening was more painful than the time he had kidney stones.

This is clearly an exaggeration. But, it is true the need to tackle this issue for people with sensitive teeth.

Thank heavens for Snow Teeth Whitening.

Overview: What’s the Key to “SNOW”? Review Of Smile Science Teeth Whitening Kit

SNOW is an oral cosmetic brand, which was established in 2017 by Josh Snow (aptly named).

In a brief amount of time, it has become a top brand in dental care and the oral cosmetic industry with their bestselling All-in-One Teeth Whitening Kit.

With sales of 1 million units, it might not be completely wrong to label SNOW’s product the web’s favorite oral whitening product. It even has the endorsement of Ellen, GQ, Allure and Vogue.

It is the mission of SNOW to provide safe and effective teeth whitening products to their clients’ homes.

Thus teeth whitening will be at in the privacy of own home or even beyond.

Snow Teeth Whitening Kit

The Snow Whitening Kit, the product that is known as the “crowning splendor” for SNOW, is a teeth whitening device that harnesses the effectiveness from LEDs to enhance one’s smile.

With the help of their teeth whitening serum, they offer customers an even whiter smile.

All of this is possible due to the distinctive whitening agents of carbamide and hydrogen peroxide.

The hydrogen peroxide breaks down into oxygen, water and reacting oxygen molecules. This lets for the peroxide to flow easily through the teeth to dissolve complex molecules that stain the teeth.

The enamel is treated as well as the dentin as well as oxidize bonds of stained stain molecules that are discolored.

At the end of this process, the teeth become BRIGHTER (NOTE: This is not an overnight procedure. ).

In fact, it’s the peroxide that carries the whitening. The LED is only there to aid in breaking down the gel containing the peroxide ingredient and to activate it.

At the end of the day, whitening the teeth depends on the user’s food habits as well as lifestyle. There is a high chance that the teeth will stain again following the whitening procedure. Review Of Smile Science Teeth Whitening Kit

Packaging: What’s inside the Box?

The Snow Whitening Kit’s elegant white box is packed with instructions that tells you how to apply and use using the Snow Whitening Kit.

The package also contains a guide to the shade of your teeth which can help you track the progress of your whitening. The process starts with yellow and progresses to the white. Using the teeth shade guide as you follow the treatment will let you know its efficacy.

TIP: Take a photograph of your teeth in conjunction with the teeth shade guide before starting the treatment. This will be very useful in helping you remember your progress as time passes.

Next up is then the Snow Whitening Mouth Guard with phone attachment. This mouth guard has the LED that will help disintegrate the gel as well as activate the peroxide.

The phone attachment comes with four adaptors you can utilize based on your device. It comes with USB, type C, Apple LIghtning cable and a microUSB cable.

This mouth guard uses LED, not UV (NOTE LED is not harmful and UV isn’t. ).

The box also comes with three Whitening Wands and One Gold Extra Strength Whitening Wand.

These whitening wands hold the serum that helps the kit work. They’ve been developed to avoid any potential allergens. They’re also vegan.

It is the next thing to do: brush your teeth before applying the serum. Make sure that there are no dirt or food debris before applying the serum. Otherwise , the treatment might not be that effective.

After that, apply the serum as if you are painting your teeth. It is best to begin with the normal serum.

Results: Are My Teeth White?

So I decided to try their product to whiten my teeth for 21 days, as suggested. Bear in mind my teeth are at 4 according to their teeth shade guide.

So as per instruction I cleaned my teeth, then took the products out of the box.

SInce this is my first experience with an LED for mouthwhitening, I am quite amazed but also a bit intimidated by the sight of the mouth piece.

I was thinking it wouldn’t be comfortable to wear for 21 minutes.

> > Click Here to Try Product for Free < <

My teeth are more sensitive ever since the last time I had the teeth cleaned at a dentist.

This in mind, I chose the standard white whitening wand to kick things off. I opened the cap and was wondering what was wrong with the serum coming out.

It turns out that you had to pull the bottom away until liquid escaped. It wasn’t clear that I had to find a youtube video to see what I’m doing wrong.

This clearly was not properly explained in the instructions. I’m not an expert in designing packaging but clearly there was some way they could make this information more visible.

Another thing I noticed was that they don’t really tell you the amount of product you need to use in your mouth. Something which I had to look up.

It is recommended to apply only enough to ensure that all of your teeth will be coated evenly.

How Was the Mouthpiece Experience?

Now the part where I was not looking forward to, was the mouthpiece. So I braced myself and put it into my mouth. Clearly it wouldn’t be that bad.

Sure enough, it wasn’t all too awful.

It was initially uncomfortable but after a couple of minutes, I became comfortable with it. I can imagine other people becoming more comfortable than me.

Your comfortability might depend on how often you’re comfortable with things like an oral guard in your mouth.

Aside from spit getting everywhere, there was no issue with the mouthguard. The various adapters allowed me to plug the device in to my phone, or even my laptop. Which means that I could keep working while I was using the thing.

Over the 21 days I went through the entire routine, the only moment that it was a problem was when I was trying to talk to my partner or making important phone calls. After all, you can’t think of talking while your mouth is full, and when you have a mouthguard you’re really full.

It must be connected into your laptop or phone for it to turn off, however it’s not much of a deal as you can use your devices as you are waiting for the 21 minute timer to be over.

Although I’ve read that some mouthpieces plugged into iPhones stop working in the middle of treatment, I didn’t encounter this issue.

However, SNOW also offers a wireless version of the whitening kit but for a more expensive price.

Regularly undergoing the treatment was easy. In fact, it became like a routine of sorts. Before I began I made the decision not to capture any photos of my progress until the 21st day just so I can really notice the change. Review Of Smile Science Teeth Whitening Kit

Overall Verdict

At the end of the day, this was EFFECTIVE.

The first day I was at 4 and at the conclusion of my treatment, I noticed my teeth shine like a 3 going to 2. It would have been more effective to have the treatment combined with a proper diet

Overall, the experience was successful, painless, and effective. I just might continue using this device until I get to one.

Pros and Cons

  • Very simple to utilize.
  • Non-obstructive
  • It can be used at any time.
  • Easy to wash
  • It can be used to treat any type of teeth
  • Can be used by people with specific conditions, for example. crowns or braces.

  • Not being able to communicate for more than 20-30 minutes a day is impractical
  • Some parts of the instructions are not really that clear
  • Price point is higher compared to other products for whitening on the market

Last Words

Its Snow Teeth Whitening Kit is quite efficient. Because of its cost, it is only expected to perform as such.

The most appealing aspect is how painless the process of whitening is for those who have sensitive teeth.

This is typically the largest problem with most tooth whitening products in that they are either extremely uncomfortable for the particular teeth or cause them to become more sensitive.

The mouthpiece is also awe-inspiring in its comfortability and accessibility. Patients with retainers, braces or crowns are able to use it just as well as those who do not have them.

Overall, this Snow Teeth Whitening Kit is super effective and I have no complaints.

Review Of Smile Science Teeth Whitening Kit

While it is not a total replacement for good teeth hygiene and a visit to the dentist. Teeth whitening products are a fast and affordable way to get the best smile.

There are many factors that can affect your smile. Chief among this is your diet. Your teeth whitening process may be affected if you eat or drink foods and beverages that are naturally staining. This includes coffee, curry, and foods with tomato-based condiments.

Tobacco is also a major cause of tooth stains. If you desire whiter teeth, it may be worth reducing or quitting smoking.

Another factor can be the type of teeth you have. How thick your enamel is will determine the color of your teeth.

Enamel is the part of your teeth that covers the crown. It is translucent as such the thicker your enamel is, the less it shows the color of your dentil which is naturally yellowish in color.

This is how most teeth-whitening products work. They have ingredients that break down and pass through the enamel and “dehydrate” and reverse the staining of the dentil. The dentil then rehydrates naturally with the saliva.

How effective the ingredients are will determine how effective teeth whitening products are. Other factors must also be considered, such as how it affects sensitive teeth or if it causes it.

For those of you who prefer a more visual experience, here is a video review from Time Flies with Kylie’s YouTube channel. Do check out our article below, however, because it has a comprehensive overview of Snow Teeth Whitening.

SNOW Teeth Whitening Kit Review Of Smile Science Teeth Whitening Kit

SNOW Teeth Whitening offers oral care in the privacy of customers’ homes. Their premiere SNOW Teeth Whitening Kit is among the best in the business. It’s no surprise that they have been known as the “Internet’s favorite teeth whitening product.”

SNOW’s premier teeth whitening product is the SNOW Teeth Whitening Kit. It is an LED based teeth whitening kit that promises brighter teeth after 21 days of regular use. The product includes 3 regular whitening serum and 1 strong serum, an LED mouthguard, and a teeth shade guide.

The LED mouthguard activates the active ingredients to whiten the teeth. These ingredients, which include hydrogen peroxide as well as carbamide peroxide, are used in teeth whitening products.

As stated, the premiere ingredients of the SNOW Whitening Kit are hydrogen peroxide and carbamide peroxide. The regular serum has six to ten percent concentration. The strength serum is almost twice as strong.

Another active ingredient is sodium bicarbonate which is an abrasive that helps remove plaque. SNOW has little of this since too much can cause sensitive tooth

Peppermint oil is included for flavor.

All in all, these are all of the ingredients in this product:

  • Hydrogen peroxide
  • Carbamide peroxide
  • Glycerol
  • Deionized water
  • Sodium bicarbonate
  • Carbomer
  • Potassium nitrate
  • Peppermint oil

The entire kit is easy to use, with the exception of a few unspecific areas. You only need to apply the serum directly to the teeth, let the LED mouthguard do its trick and you are done for the day.

These wands can be a great idea. You can apply the serum more precisely than other types of serum because it is directly applied to your teeth. This is in contrast to using syringe-type serums that can be messy.

The kit promises a whiter smile in 21 to 30 days, depending on how you use it. Review Of Smile Science Teeth Whitening Kit

The SNOW Teeth Whitening kit can be purchased at their website for just $150. A wireless version is also available for $299.

Refills for your whitening serum are 29$ for both the regular and extra strong serum.

The Good

  • Using it is very easy
  • The LED mouthpiece does not need replacement batteries
  • It is portable and can be carried with you wherever you are.
  • Less corrosive ingredients means it can be used for sensitive teeth
  • Other than talking, non-obstructive to regular activities

The Bad

  • During the treatment, you are not allowed to speak for 20-30 minutes.
  • Some people find the mouthpiece uncomfortable
  • Higher price point compared to other whitening products
  • Some parts of the instructions are unclear

Snow Teeth Whitening vs BrighterWhite

BrighterWhite is yet another product that can be used to whiten teeth. To be honest, there is little information about them as their website only gives a lot of emphasis on their BrighterWhite Teeth Whitening Kit.

They mention that their formula is the best whitening gel in the business after 8 years of trial and error. They aim for simplicity, affordability, convenience and effectiveness like no other.

BrighterWhite Teeth Whitening Kits has been designed to dissolve both intrinsic and extrinsic stains found deep in the pores of the teeth.

How BrighterWhite works is that as their whitening gel breaks down, it oxidizes the stained organic deposits into a whiter color. This allows both the intrinsic and external parts of your teeth to be brighter and whiter. Review Of Smile Science Teeth Whitening Kit

BrighterWhite’s teeth whitening gel contains peroxide. In this instance, it is ureaperoxide. In dental circles, this ingredient is known as carbamide peroxide.

While diluted urea peroxide can be used to whiten the teeth, too much of this ingredient could be harmful to the enamel of the tooth.

The one thing that’s curious about this product is the possibility that you may receive a gel with a different formula depending on where you live. The FAQ section on the website states that people ordering from Germany will receive the non-peroxide formulation.

Maybe it has something to do with regulations there. But this does beg the question, Why not make a uniform formula? Does that mean that German customers have a more effective or less effective whitening product?

For the whole list of ingredients we have:

  • Glycerin
  • Urea Peroxide
  • Propylene Glycol
  • Xylitol
  • Carbomer
  • Mentha Piperita Oil
  • Triethanolamine
  • Aqua

Version non-peroxide (Germany Only).

  • Glycerine
  • Deionized water
  • Carbopol
  • Triethanolamine
  • Sodium perborate

Like most teeth whitening products, the box contains a number of materials.

This tray-based teeth whitening kit comes with custom mouth trays (3 to be exact), LED lights with 2 button cells batteries and a shade guide to help you track your teeth from day 1 to day 7.

Six syringes are included to hold the formula, and two syringes are provided for desensitizing the formula. A pamphlet is included for the 7-day challenge. Instructions are found at the back of the box, so make sure not to lose the box or you can find it on the internet.

The treatment proper is a much more involved process. You will need to “fit” the tray before you can use it for the first time.

During the treatment proper, using the syringes can be finicky and a bit of a hassle. If you’re not an expert at using syringes, it can be difficult to determine the correct amount.

The treatment usually takes 30-60 minutes. This means that the treatment takes between 30-60 minutes.

Some people may feel sensitive when using the product. This can be treated by using the desensitizer gel or without the LED lights.

It is recommended to do your treatment at night, after your last meal. Before you start the treatment, make sure your teeth are clean. It’s always a good idea to brush your teeth before starting.

It is also recommended to do the treatment for seven to fourteen days for best results. Review Of Smile Science Teeth Whitening Kit

BrighterWhites teeth-whitening kits cost based on how long you want them to last. They have a 3 month supply for $122. They also have a 6 month supply for $220 which also includes a whitening pen.

They also have a “Best Friend’s Pack” for $536. You get twice the product in this pack, which is also available as a 6-month supply. This is perfect if you want to do your treatment along with a friend.

The company is currently offering massive discounts during their mega-sale for the mid-year. This is the perfect time to try their products.

The Good

  • It’s portable so you can take it anywhere
  • Fast results with some bragging that you can get whiter teeth just after two days

The Bad

  • You can also find the more expensive side.
  • Strong ingredients means it could cause sensitive teeth.
  • Some ingredients may be a little tricky.
  • The application process is more complicated and tedious than it seems.
  • The batteries included in the package are not rechargeable

Snow Teeth Whitening Vs Arc Teeth Whitening

The Are Teeth Whitening Strip Kit With Blue Light is another contender for teeth-whitening products. The products we’ve previously seen involved serums. Arc Teeth Whitening, however, is a whitening strip.

Arc Teeth Whitening was developed to provide a safer and more effective alternative to homemade teeth whitening. They stand for confidence and reliability.

They only use proven and well-researched methods to whitening their teeth. They promise to have no extraneous ingredients included in their product.

The Arc Teeth Whitening Kit is their most popular teeth whitening product. This kit combines teeth-whitening strips with LED blue light technology at a particular wavelength. It targets stains in the enamel to weaken their chemical bonds to get a whiter teeth.

At first glance, the box gives you a bunch of products, however most of what is included are the whitening strips. You are greeted by 1 ARC light and 14 treatment strips when you open the box.

Each treatment includes 2 strips, one for the top part of the mouth and one for the bottom. According to the Arc Blue light, it can last approximately 28 treatments. Specifically, that is 14 treatments, and 2 refills. Each refill includes 7 treatments.

Arc Teeth Whitening Kit’s active ingredient is Hydrogen Peroxide, a common compound found in most tooth whitening products. Hydrogen peroxide can cause sensitive skin if it is not used correctly.

Other ingredients in the product include:

  • PVP
  • PEG-8
  • Water
  • Hydrogen peroxide
  • Copolymer of Acrylates
  • Sodium hydroxide
  • Sodium saccharin

Except for hydrogen peroxide, most of these ingredients are used for flavor, adhesion and consistency.

The Arc Teeth Whitening Kit is much easier than other products. The entire treatment takes only 30 minutes. However, the LED blue light can be held for just five minutes.

That means you can go about your whole day while doing the treatment. You can even talk to people while doing it.

However, you must be careful that you only do the treatment at the allotted time. Prolonged application of strips can cause sensitive teeth that you do not want.

To avoid sensitive teeth, the ARC whitening treatment should be used only once daily. It is fine to skip a few days after applying the treatment. However, spreading the application of the strips over a longer period of time may not yield the best results.

Warning: Do not brush immediately before applying strips. This is to avoid gum irritation

The Arc Blue Light Teeth Whitening Kit is priced at $44.94 on their website. The whitening strip refills cost about $19.94. The Arc Blue Light can last 28 treatments so the initial treatment cost may be $84.82.

The Arc Blue Light Teeth Whitening Kit overall is more affordable than other teeth whitening products.

The Good

  • It is very easy to use and takes only 5 minutes of your treatment time.
  • The price point is lower
  • Can treat heavy stains from things like red wine and coffee
  • Mouthpiece has a built-in timer and is waterproof
  • Strips are more comfortable than other teeth whitening applications
  • Results can be visible after the first week.

The Bad

  • There is a very big chance of having tooth sensitivity, especially when applied longer than intended
  • LED mouthpiece battery is not rechargeable. If your LED mouthpiece battery dies, you will need to purchase a new one to continue your treatment.
  • Only 14 strips are included in the set with blue light. The refills have only seven.
  • If used incorrectly, can cause permanent tooth decay.

SmileActives founder boasts about 90 dental and cosmetic patents under his belt.

SmileActives range of products includes items such as their Vibrite Sonic Tooth to their advanced teeth whitening pen. However, their premiere product would be their Power Whitening Gel.

The Power Whitening Gel is different from other teeth whitening products on this list because it is not a complete kit. The Power Whitening gel is a teeth-whitening gel. There are no hard to handle mouth trays or fancy LED lights to achieve a whiter teeth.

Polyclean Technology is used to make the Power Whitening Gel. It generates a powerful micro-foam that penetrates the tooth enamel. It helps lift and remove stains.

The Power Whitening Gel promises visible results in as little as 30 days. Review Of Smile Science Teeth Whitening Kit

SmileActives Power Whitening Gel’s main ingredient is also hydrogen peroxide.

While all ingredients found in the gel are safe, they are not all naturally-derived ingredients. Those looking for an all natural teeth whitening solution have to look elsewhere.

All of the Power Whitening Gel’s ingredients include:

  • Glycerin
  • Hydroxyethyl Acrylate/ Sodium Acryloyldimethyl Taurate Copolymer
  • Flavor
  • Sodium Saccharin

To apply the Power Whitening Gel, you just add some of it to your toothbrush along with your normal toothpaste. You can then brush your teeth as normal.

This is the only teeth whitening product that doesn’t interfere with your daily routine. This is assuming you brush your teeth at least twice daily.

SmileActives Power Whitening Gel is valued at $29.95 for a small sized bottle and $89.85 for a large one. Sure, it might seem that the price is a lot cheaper than most teeth whitening products, however, you have to bear in mind that you’re actually paying for a bottle of product.

Customers may find the price too high for a single bottle, and that is a problem.

SmileActive offers its customers a membership. Members will enjoy the benefits of having the products at up to 33% discount on every auto-delivery order.

You can customize this delivery service by choosing the frequency of delivery and the products that you wish to purchase.

  • Not all ingredients are natural which may be a turnoff to some
  • It may take more than a month for the results to be visible

Opalescence vs Snow Teeth Whitening

Opalescence is another brand that offers teeth whitening products. Most of their products can be purchased through a local dentist’s office. However, they also have a few different products that include at-home treatments, in-office whitening, and whitening toothpaste.

Opalescence whitening product, like most whitening products will lighten discolored smiles that are caused by tea, coffee and soda.

Most Opalescence use advanced and dental-grade teeth whitening formulas that remove the stains in the enamel and dentin. Review Of Smile Science Teeth Whitening Kit

Opalescence Go, which are pre-applied trays for teeth whitening, is one of their most popular products. Opalescence Go is applied with the Ultrafit formula that fits most types of smiles.

Opalescence Go is available in two concentrations: 10% and 15%. The main difference between them is how much hydrogen peroxide they contain, which determines their strength. For sensitive teeth, the 10% option is recommended.

Opalescence Go is also available in mint and melon flavors. This is a plus for customers as biting at a treatment can be either boring or undesirable especially if the treatment’s flavor is bad.

Because of its compact design, the Opalescence Go makes it easy to transport. It’s a good emergency product to bring for when you attend special occasions.

That said, you would be hard pressed to find the Opalescence Go online as it can only be ordered from a dental professional.

Hydrogen peroxide is the main ingredient in Opalescence Go. Customers can choose between a 10% or 15% strength.

Hydrogen peroxide can be used to treat a variety of conditions. However, it is not recommended for use in excess. Too much hydrogen peroxide can cause tooth sensitive. To alleviate this, the formula also includes potassium nitrate and fluoride. These two ingredients strengthen the enamel as well as reduce sensitivity.

Although their official website does not include all the ingredients in Opalescence Go’s formula, we do know the following:

  • Carbamide Peroxide (breaks down into Hydrogen Peroxide)
  • Potassium Nitrate
  • Flouride
  • Flavoring (melon or mint)

Opalescence Go is a different type of teeth whitening tray than most. It does not require a custom or imprinted tray. The UltraFit Technology allows for most teeth types accommodated.

Hence, applying the Opalescence Go is a very fast process. All it takes is to use the outer tray to deliver the inner tray to the teeth. Both the top and bottom can be applied at the same time. It is actually a good idea, as it saves you a lot of time.

The strength of the formula will determine how long the tray must stay on your teeth. The 15% peroxide solution takes about 15 to 20 minutes to apply, while the 10% requires approximately an hour and a half. Review Of Smile Science Teeth Whitening Kit

Opalescence Go can be purchased for between $60 and $80. It will depend on how strong you are and where you live. To buy one, you will need to visit your dentist. Luckily their website can help you with that.

Each box of Opalescence GO contains 10 sets of mouth trays. Enough for a 10 day treatment.

Although the product claims to be less messy than mouth trays and whitening strips, it still requires a lot of effort.

For one, there will always be drool and spit involved when LED mouthpieces are concerned. Then you have to do the process for eight minutes at a time for three times. You must complete the entire ritual, from lip balm application to biting down on the mouthpiece.

One good thing about their gadget is their automatic timer. The GLO control included in the package, unlike most other treatments, will count down until the process is complete.

That said, there have been complaints about the design of the GLO vial containers. Sometimes, it is nearly impossible to get all the product out of the vials. Given that one vial is usually good for one treatment, this makes the vial inefficient in its application

Sometimes the formula in the vials does not contain enough to treat the entire treatment. Given the price point of the product, it is not hard to understand why some people think that they are being ripped off.

That said, treatment is to last 5 days give or take. At the end of the day, it depends on the consistency of the treatment and the type of teeth of the user.

The GLO Brilliant Teeth Whitening device is on the more expensive side. At the price of $199, one could say that a purchase of the product is an investment.

Refills for the Teeth Whitening Glo Vials range from $24-$65, depending on how many you order. All options include a free lip care except for the cheapest option of a 3 pack

Their cinnamint flavor is another refill option. It comes in a 3 pak and a 5 pack and costs about the same as the mint flavor, except it doesn’t include the free lip care.

Refill for the lip care is 15$
